2020 and 2021 Upcoming Film Releases
With the coronavirus pandemic still going on (stay home! stay safe!), a lot of moviegoers, including everyone here at OurMovieLife, are upset and underwhelmed regarding the lack of new film releases. And rightfully so. The industry is currently dark.
Until it comes back to light again. When? Soon.
Many studios have rescheduled their big blockbuster releases throughout next year. Some are still betting on late 2020 releases. We know everyone is upset no massive films have come out in the past couple of months, so this article is intended to hype you up about some exciting things ahead.
Here’s a quick overview of films that are currently still scheduled for the second half of 2020 (again: this is currently).
- Tenet (July 17th)
- Mulan (July 24th)
- Wonder Woman 1984 (August 14th)
- A Quiet Place Part II (September 4th)
- The King’s Man (September 18th)
- The French Dispatch (October 16th)
- Black Widow (November 6th)
- No Time to Die (November 25th)
- Godzilla vs. Kong (November 20th)
- Free Guy (December 11th)
- West Side Story (December 18th)
- Dune (December 18th)
- Top Gun: Maverick (December 23rd)
That’s an insane line-up for only half a year. What more could we ask for in 2021?
Well:
- Eternals (February 12th)
- Morbius (March 19th)
- F9 (April 2nd)
- Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (May 7th)
- The Matrix 4 (May 21st)
- Jurassic World: Dominion (June 11th)
- In the Heights (June 18th)
- Venom: Let There Be Carnage (June 25th)
- Jackass sequel (July 2nd)
- Uncharted (July 16th)
- Jungle Criuse (July 30th)
- The Suicide Squad (August 6th)
- The Batman (October 1st)
- Hamilton (October 15th)
- Spider-Man 3 (November 5th)
- Fantastic Beasts 3 (November 12th)
- Mission: Impossible 7 (November 19th)
- Avatar 2 (December 17th) (DO NOT RESCHEDULE THIS!)
- Black Adam (December 22nd)
- Sherlock Holmes 3 (December 22nd)
(Moreover: Last Night in SOHO and The New Mutants are currently unscheduled. The New Mutants being scheduled for April 1st was the biggest joke Marvel could have pulled on us.)
Keep in mind: the schedule above is the current situation. It’s likely some 2020 releases will move to 2021, making next year even more packed. But by the looks of it, both the second half of 2020 and all of 2021 are going to be extremely thrilling. For now, go binge something on some streaming platform. A lot of amazing film releases are coming really soon, so be excited about that. We’re at the final stretch, guys — stay strong.

I’ve got everything crossed I can be sat in a cinema in July to see Tenet!
We do, too!
