Oscars 2017: Mahershala Ali Wins Best Supporting Actor
Hey, guys!
It’s Oscar night! I’m currently watching the ceremony live and talking about some of the winners. And guess what? Mahershala Ali won Best Supporting Actor!
This was pretty sure, so I’m not very surprised he won. He didn’t seem surprised either, to be honest. In his speech, Ali thanked his teachers for showing him that it’s the characters who matter and also thanked his wife for being ‘such a soldier’ throughout award season (+they had a baby a four days ago). Out of the people nominated, Ali deserved to win the most and I’m glad he did. I still think the actor who should have won (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) wasn’t even nominated, but out of those who were, Ali deserved it. Congrats!
Don’t forget, this isn’t the only Oscar category I’m talking about tonight! I yet have to discuss Best Supporting Actress, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, and Best Picture.
