Oscar Nominations 2017: Most Snubbed Movie

Hey, guys!

I know I promised to write a long article today about the biggest snubs and biggest surprises of this year’s Oscar nominations. Sadly, I’ve been swamped lately and thus I simply don’t have the time to write something long like that today. I barely squeezed an hour from my schedule to write this (and I’m doing so sitting on a bench in a random building, just saying). So, instead I’m gonna let you know what movie I think got screwed the most this year. And that film is…

‘Nocturnal Animals’!

Oscars 2017: Predictions

I love the Academy Awards mainly because of the excitement before the show actually airs. I love waiting for the nominees to be announced, I love watching the nominated films, and, most of all, I love making my predictions! Note: this is not a list of who I think should win, but of who will win. So, without further a due, here are my predictions for the 2017 Academy Awards!

10 Hollywood Celebrities I’d Like to Have Dinner With

I was bored in History class. Really bored. And I needed ideas for an article for today, so I started brainstorming. I’ve been reading a lot of movie blogs lately and I noticed that a lot of people were writing about celebrities/characters they’d like to have dinner with. And since I had nothing else to do in class (don’t ask me what my grade in that class is…), I did my list. So, without further a due, here’s a list of 10 Hollywood celebrities I’d like to have dinner with!

№1: Leonardo DiCaprio

If there was ever a real life person who I would call my idol, Leonardo DiCaprio would be it. I love this guy. He’s an awesome guy and I’d have a lot of fun talking with him at my fictional dinner. We could talk about vapes, discuss climate change, make a couple of jokes, and, most importantly, I could ask him a lot of questions about acting (for those of you how don’t know, I’m an actor).

Mickey’s Weekly Recommendation: ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’

Happy Thursday!

This week’s recommendation is…

‘Mad Max: Fury Road’

A lot of people are scared to watch ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’. To a lot of people it seems to be a meaningless action film. First of all, it’s not meaningless. Truthfully, ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ isn’t the most impactful movie ever made, but still it isn’t without meaning and it isn’t some dumb Michael Bay-looking action film. Second, it’s a completely awesome action production! Listen to me: even if you are not a fan of action movies, even if only watch comedies or dramas, you will enjoy this! Trust me! It’s one of the most epic things I’ve seen on the big screen. It has explosions and car chases and fight scenes and fight scenes on car chases and car chases with explosions resulting in fight scenes and… I got confused… anyway, it’s awesome! It’s the perfect movie for you to just sit, relax, chug some popcorn, and watch some cars blow up in front of you. So, if you are looking for a relaxing, fun, and awesome action film, I highly recommend ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’!

Will you watch this movie? If you already have, do you like it? Share your thoughts in the comments section below! Don’t forget to like and share this article if you enjoyed it!

3 Movies to Watch on Valentine’s Day

Hey, guys!

Sorry I’m a bit late with this post. (And LOL, if you think I was out celebrating Valentine’s Day, you are so wrong). I was wondering all day what to post today and then it struck me: today is Valentine’s Day! A lot of couples stay in today and usually watch a movie. So I thought, why don’t I share some of my best picks for what to watch with a (potential) loved one on Valentine’s? Without further a due, here are some options!

A note first! ‘Love Actually’ is not on my list because I feel like it’s a bit too Christmas related. However, if you don’t mind having the Christmas spirit in February, you can should so watch it! And now…

5 Directors I Think Are Currently Doing a Fantastic Job in Hollywood

A really long time ago I wrote two articles that were liked by a lot of people. The articles were ‘5 Male Actors I Think Are Currently Doing a Fantastic Job in Hollywood’ and ‘5 Female Actresses I Think Are Currently Doing a Fantastic Job in Hollywood’. And since I seem to be coming back to old traditions this week (because of my ‘Top 10 Emma Stone Movies’ list), I decided to write something similar to those two articles I wrote last year. I think I don’t talk enough about directors on this website, so I decided to write something solely dedicated to the art of directing a movie. So, without further a due, here’s a list of 5 directors I think are currently doing a fantastic job in Hollywood!

Go See ‘The LEGO Batman Movie’!

Okay, I just saw how much ‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ and ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ grossed on Thursday. As it turns out, ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ is in the lead with 5.7$ million dollars, while ‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ saw 2.2$ million dollars in Thursday previews. I have not seen any of these movies, but please, do me a favor. Go watch ‘The LEGO Batman Movie’.

Mickey’s Weekly Recommendation: ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’

Happy Thursday!

This week’s recommendation is…

‘Guardians of the Galaxy’!

‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ is surely one of my favorite superhero films ever. To begin with, yes, it’s hilarious. I remember the first time I saw this movie, the theater was full. And I remember how people laughed their asses of watching ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. It really is an extremely funny movie. Another thing I love about ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ is that it is not another generic Marvel film. The story takes place on an entirely different plane with entirely different characters. It was refreshing to see a new superhero movie. I honestly don’t have any problems with this production. The directing is great, the cinematography is fine (although I don’t like Marvel’s color contrast, but that’s another topic), and it’s edited great. The acting is so funny and the actors perfectly underline the tone of the movie with their performances. I love the story and I love the narrative (the movie is not at all chaotic: every scene matters and thus the producers tell a coherent story). So, if you are looking for an original, hilarious, and nearly perfect superhero movie, I highly recommend ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’!

Now go have a wonderful weekend,

Mickey
